Loss Prevention & Revenue Recovery
Make Your Security Department Profitable!
Under our Loss Prevention and Revenue Recovery program, a
companys security staff would apprehend a subject and
then offer the subject an opportunity to participate in our
program as an alternative to being prosecuted. With this option,
the company would not only recover restitution but also collect
the fees from our program thus making your security
department profitable!
Upon successful completion of our program, the subject would
have their case against them discontinued. The subjects
information will remain in the case tracking system, giving
the security department another resource to cross reference
people. If a subject who completed the program commits an
additional offense, then both cases could be used against
them. Security staff would also be able to look up individuals
to see if they have been trespassed from the store. If the
subjects were caught again, then trespassing charges could
be filed. As you can see, it is a win-win situation. Together,
we can turn your security department into a more efficient,
profitable contribution to your business!
Employee Orientation
Our Employee Orientation program is the same as the Loss
Prevention and Recovery program above, with the added benefit
of USJS training your security personnel and upper management.
After completing the program, they will be able to identify
propensity among new hires for:
Theft
Depression
Drug & Alcohol Abuse
Schizophrenia
Bi-Polar
Dementia
Court Diversion
We have two main programs for Court Diversion:
Deferral Of Charges (DOC)
Delayed Entry of Judgment (DEJ)
Our Deferral Of Charges (DOC) program is designed to save
time and resources. This program gives the first-time offender
an opportunity to avoid criminal prosecution by participating
in an alternative educational program. Upon successful completion
of this program the prosecutor agrees to drop the charges
against the defendant. This benefits the prosecutor and the
courts by freeing up time and money that would normally be
spent on the prosecution of these cases. This also benefits
the defendant by giving them the opportunity to have the charges
against them dismissed and therefore removed from their criminal
record. Additionally, taxpayers benefit by not having to 'pick-up
the bill' for the defendants that cannot defend themselves.
The average cost of operating a courtroom is approximately
$6,000 a day.
Under our Delayed Entry of Judgment (DEJ) program, the Judge
refers the defendants to the program, which is later in the
process than under the DOC format. However, the savings are
still substantial. When you consider that it takes approximately
$6,000 a day to operate a courtroom. This includes all the
required court personnel's wages. Anything that can be done
to shorten their workdays and /or reduce the number of appearances
by the defendant in the courtroom saves money. Also, the Judge
can feel much better about giving the first-time offender,
who may have made a stupid mistake, an opportunity to learn
from their mistake rather than convicting the defendant which
narrows their employment opportunities along with other immensely
negative impacts that a criminal record has on a persons life,
as well as the community.
